History of the Island

This island once belonged to a hunter known as General Zaroff. Zaroff was an admirable man who lived here on the island with only his servant, Ivan. He trained sailors who ended up crashing on the shores of the island to hunt and always kept them entertained. One day, Sanger Rainsford washed ashore, alone. He wandered through the forest and discovered our chateau. There, Rainsford decided to stay for a while until he could conjure up a way to return home. Zaroff kept Rainsford healthy and comfortable during his visit, and soon decided to have a little hunting trip with him.
While they were hunting, Rainsford created our 3 signature traps (as explained in the Hunting tab) and accidentally killed Ivan. This greatly hurt Zaroff. When Zaroff returned home, he found Rainsford in his curtains, waiting in the shadows. This startled Zaroff, who decided to have a duel. The winner took the chateau, his dignity, and his life. The loser lost all and was fed to the hounds. As you can assume, Rainsford, being a very skilled hunter, won the battle. The island and resort now belong to him and you can, on occasion, still see him hunting in the jungle or lounging in either our Royale suite or our Treehouse suite.
This website is brought to you by Allison H., Victoria E., Dante J., and Angel G. in Mrs. Toole's 6th Period class. The island is based off of Richard Connell's short story, "The Most Dangerous Game". Please beware that the island and the story are both FICTION.
